Drive Student Success with Trellis Progress
In partnership with Student Success and Retention Innovation (SSRI), Trellis Progress was released to instructors, graduate and teaching assistants this past semester. This comment-based feedback system allows faculty to provide both positive and constructive feedback on course performance and attendance, catching students early with point-in-time messaging and guidance.
Since its launch as a widget on D2L's course site, 170 faculty members have logged into Trellis Progress. As of December, 1,987 early progress reports have been sent to students with an 85% open rate.
According to SSRI, "Undergraduate student success is influenced by academic, socio-cultural, financial, and psychological/wellness factors. It takes multifaceted programs and supports addressing these factors throughout the University to help students thrive."
Trellis Progress is just one of many ways the university is seeking to promote student success. Connect with SSRI for recommended student feedback dates based on course length. Learn more about the product and other initiatives below.
