Trellis Digest

Van Patten spoke about navigating digital change, exploring production methodologies, and weighing the benefits of bespoke or custom tools at the annual Salesforce Education Summit.

During Spring 2021, the Trellis program employed 15 student workers−all who played an integral role in the ideation and implementation of Trellis. 5 senior students share their experience working alongside the marketing, development, and support teams.

Since the launch of Early Progress Reports in fall 2019, instructors have been using the EPR tool to communicate feedback to students about their classroom performance, attendance, and more. In a recent report, more instructors are using the EPR tool each successive semester with 33 instructors in fall 2019, 40 in spring 2020, and 48 in fall 2020.

In fiscal year 2020, Trellis expanded CRM services to students, staff, and marketers, helping the University manage campus-wide communications and remote learning due to COVID-19. Check out the FY20 IT Annual Report for more information.

As the entire campus shifted to remote learning this year, so did the team of student workers hired to help support the Trellis CRM program. Richaunti Williams, Holli Meza, and Cyrus Madrone are just some of the talented seniors who helped coordinate our marketing efforts, data analytics, and more—all while gaining new skills and experiences to take to their future careers.

Work on a new Student Engagement Hub is planned for 2021, after a successful year of Trellis implementation and the launch of a more modern and mobile-friendly UAccess Student Center.
